Beginner's Floral Carving Class

This 1 day class focuses on the fundamentals of learning how to draw leather floral carving patterns.

Class limited to 5 students.

This is an in-person class in our saddle shop in Moulton, TX.  You and four other craftsmen will work along side Don Gonzales in his shop to begin learning how to draw and layout floral tooling patterns.  We will discuss the elements of floral pattern design, flow, and balance.  

This class is designed as a Beginner to Intermediate level class.  

This is a paper and pencil class designed to give you a good foundation for designing your own floral carving patterns.

Tools/Supplies Needed:

You will not need any leather tools for this class.  You will need a sketchbook, pencils (mechanical or #2 pencils), erasers, circle jig of some sort for making circles, and any other drawing tools or supplies you may want to bring.

Class will begin at 9am and end at 5pm.  We will break for lunch from 12-1pm and have some light refreshments and snacks during the day.

*One person per enrollment can take the class.

*Enrollment purchase is nonrefundable, but can be transferred to another class in our shop that we have scheduled if something happens that doesn't allow you to attend.  You can also sell your spot to someone else, but please let us know.
