DG LeatherCraft
September 20, 2024
This is an in person Leather Floral Tooling Class that will focus on fundamental aspects of floral carving including swivel knife work, beveling, decorative work and cuts. Although the focus of the class will be on tooling, students will tool Hermann Oak leather that is sized for making a Steno Notebook Cover when completed.
Students will have the materials to complete this project at home after the full day of tooling along with a complete pattern pack from DG LeatherCraft. The pattern pack will contain all the patterns and an assortment of different floral patterns so they can make more of these as they like.
The goal of this class is tooling the front panel with floral carving and learning skills and techniques to improve the skills and techniques of the student.
We will NOT completely build this project in the class.
After the class is over, a full project video for this notebook will be released on Don Gonzales's YouTube channel so that students can use the video to finish their project in their shops.
This class will be hosted by Steve Watkins and held in Baytown, TX. Date of the class will be September 20, 2024 from 9am - 5pm. Purchase to enroll in this class. An email will be sent to students with more information on location, tools and supply list.
